Ava and Lila: Finally an Update!

Well things have been pretty crazy in the Holtz household the last couple weeks. We had our first case of a double ear infection and Roseola for Ava (not bad making it about 15 months with no illnesses).

Does this look like the face of a sick girl????? (Her hair is not dirty..we do bath her..she just decided to wipe all of her dinner in it!)

As of baby #2....I had my high risk u/s done on the 7th and everything looked great..my cervix measured 4.8 c.m which is GREAT! However, I went for my next checkup on the 23rd and the doc could not "feel" what she needed to and she decided to have me stay for another u/s. When the tech measured my cervix this time is dropped to 3.6 c.m, which is still good (anything above 2.5 is considered safe). However, they do not trust my cervix considering Ava was born so early and they have put me on FULL bedrest:( I go back next wed. for another u/s to check the measurement again and if it has dropped lower they may need to give me a few stitches:( :( So I am totally inconveniencing EVERYONE and trying to find not only babysitters for Ava but me as well! Everyone has truly been there for us and we have tentatively scheduled through July (which after that we are ok with the little one gracing us with her presence).

As for day #1 of full bedrest it is miserable.. I am already TOTALLY over it! and I have like 90 days to go:( There is a possibility they may give me more freedom if everything goes well in the upcoming weeks. So we are keeping our fingers crossed.

On a better note, here are some funny pictures of Ava from the last couple weeks.. she is just so silly and has the BIGGEST personality. Still no desire to walk.. but we will get there when she is ready. (I didn't walk till I was 18 months and I wasn't early) so maybe she is just taking after her mother:)
