We went to my high risk Dr's apt. on Wednesday and even though I went with positive thoughts, they saw what we didn't want them to see. The funneling has gotten worse, so basically it is just a matter of time before it goes through to the outside and I start to dilate. However, I am still fully closed so that is good. I went for my first steroid shot yesterday and the second one I had today. The steroids help in speeding up the baby's lung development, although it did a number on my heart which felt like it was going to jump out of my chest for the last two days.
I go again next week for what should be my last cervical u/s. After that I will be 28 weeks and it is ok for the baby to come (preemies past 28 weeks do the best). I guess depending on if the funneling is worse they might put me in the hospital.. we will see. We are getting nervous because next week is when Ava was born.. so we are thinking this one might come at the same time. Keeping our fingers crossed to make it at least to 28 weeks.
We also want to say thank you to everyone for all your thoughts and prayers it means so much to us and we know it makes a difference.
