So..what we expected to be the PERFECT week, bringing our new little girl home after only 2 days is the hospital..turned out to be the complete opposite! We have been back and forth to the Dr. 7..yes 7 times in the last week:(
Ava: 3 times
Lila: 3 times
Me: 1 time
Ava- It started out last thrusday at her 18 month check up..doing great 22 pounds 25-50% and 33 inches 75-95% and a bit of a cold..Then comes Monday morning..coughing up a storm with runny nose (by this time we are home with Lila). My Mom is staying with us this week so she brought Ava to "sick call," she has bronchitas and has to use some breathing machine every 4 hours, which she HATES. Then comes Wednesday.. now her eyes are starting to goop over.. so back to "sick call." Turns out Ava has a double ear infection, double eye infection and bronchitas (sorry don't know how to spell).. She has maybe had a cold one other time in her whole life.. and the time we bring a newborn home she gets all at once. She is MISERABLE! which, it has been challenging keeping her away from Lila.
So sick.. and still smiling..That's my peanut!
Lila- Thursday before taking Lila home the Dr. mentioned she was jaundice and her billie level was up (I think it was at like 11). He said she could go home Friday but they wanted to see her on Sunday to check her level again. We took her (she still looked yellow and actually really tan) and it rose to 12.6, which is still ok.. anything near the 20's they get concerned. So.. they wanted to see her in on Tuesday..which her level came back at 15.6 so still climbing. They decided to put Lila under a billie blanket to help speed up the process.. which we started at 7 pm. We just went back this morning and her level dropped to 14, which the Dr. said was great only after one night. So she has to stay under the light till Friday and hopefully she will be in the clear.
Me- After having been home for about 4 days I still noticed a lot of discomfort (down there) and didn't feel something was right. So I listened to my body and decided to call the Dr. I went in Wednesday and she found some tissue that was growing over my stiches, which was rubbing everytime a sit and well moved. So she had to take care of that.. now I am worse then I was before but hopefully getting better soon. (Not to mention the pain in my chest area:( ).. I know TMA>. I will stop now.
Of course I don't mean to complain but just wanted to share our what we thought would be the perfect week..turned SOUR!!! On top of it my poor Mom has been staying with us and it has turned out to be holding her Granddaughter against her will to give her a breathing treated and eye drops... YIKES!! Sorry Mom!

Lila is so cute :) I can't wait to see her in a few weeks!! And miss Ava B. She better be ready for a visit with her Aunt Sarah. She will probably have some surprises!!!!
You for sure have had one heck of a week! But, Lila looks good and luckily you got yourself taken care of.
As for Ava- Poor poor thing. I hope she feels better soon!
I'm sorry it's been a rough week! I HATE when my kids are sick and with a newborn around, that has to be kinda scary. Hopefully Ava will feel better ASAP!
