A Special day!!

Words cant express the feeling we have when April 10th roles around.. This was the day 2 years ago that Ava FINALLY came home from the hospital. I can not tell you how hard it was waiting for this day to come. We were really hoping she would have been able to come home by Drew's birthday April 7th, and she was all ready too.. until.. the phone call from her Dr. the morning of the 4th.. I will never forget I was putting the rest of her clothes away in her room preparing for the next day when Drew called me with the BAD news... she was unable to hold her own body temperature in the open crib throughout the night so they had to put her back in the isollete for at least 2 days.. then she had to maintain it for another 2 days!!! I was totally heart broken.. I thought finally I am going to feel like a Mom.. but obviously we would rather her be really READY to come home and not come home then have to go back...

So the day finally came and I think every emotion went through our bodies.. excitement, panic, nervousness, I can't even name them all. But we made it.. and look at her today!!! She is truly the most incredible little girl in the world and we just LOVE her so much!!!! (oh.. and we still haven't even hit her due date.. that was April 29th!!!)

So here are some picture of the day we got to bring our Ava B. home after 67 days in the ISCU:):)

No more monitors.. oh my gosh.. how scary.. will she be OK?????? Her empty bed..

In normal clothes all ready to go home!!

One last bottle before we hit the road...

Ava in her car seat for the first time.. so small..

This is the exact moment we waited for!!! TOTALLY CONTENT!!!

She is so precious! What a special girl and too cute for words.

I remember her in the hospital... I couldn't believe how tiny and amazing. She was a strong one from the start!
